Marshfield Wins BIG in season opener!

The Marshfield Blue Jays made a statement tonight winning big in the season opener 51-12 over the Hollister Tigers.  This being the Tigers very first vasity game in the history of the school they expected them to be on fire.  The Jays felt there presence in the first half but quickly put out that fire in the second. The following stats relfect the out come of the game:

Sophmore Running back Dillon Harms had a huge game for his first start in a varsity game.  He rushed for 180 yards and caught 1 pass for 6 yards.  And did we mention he had 4 Touchdowns in the contest.

QB Peyton Bransfield went 7-13 passing with 43 yds in the air. Peyton also ran for 38 Yards in the ballgame.

Sophmore QB Jonah Hill came into the ballgame after Bransfields' injury and went 3-7 passing  with 24 yards and throwing a touchdown. Hill also ran for 37 yards in the game.

Jared Greenlee led all recievers with 41 yards.

Even Theobald had a great game on the defensive side of the ball game with 6 tackles, 1, 24 yard interception for a Touchdown and a few brutal hits in the backfield.
